Nubian Maiden
Descending from on high, a night skys veiled translucence,
Caressing the mist that surrounds Her so,
Glistening droplets, faintly touching Her hair
As stars reflecting brilliantly the night.
Breathing sacred essence, kneeling children below,
Lives full with Her faithful promise,
She bestows endless bounties feeding their souls
Enriching divine mysteries of life.
Wrapping loving beauty upon them, holding ever so close
Lost children of heaven eternal
Their spirits forever lifted above barren soils
Of shared existence, leaping upward in flight.
The Nubian Maiden nourishing their spirits,
A Mother returning to Her home.
